Introduction
The innovative DAM3-1600 Molded Case Circuit Breaker is engineered to automatically disconnect the current flow when it surpasses the set threshold. The term 'molded case' refers to the durable plastic insulating frame that encases the device, ensuring the insulation of the conductors and grounding components.
Working principle
The primary contact of the DAM3-1600 Molded Case Circuit Breaker can be operated manually or electrically. Once closed, a secure free-release mechanism holds the contact in place. The overcurrent trip coil and thermal trip element are in series with the main circuit, while the undervoltage trip coil is connected in parallel with the power supply, ensuring comprehensive protection against electrical faults.
