The Dada DAM3-1600 molded case circuit breaker is engineered to handle rated currents up to a robust 1600A. Specifically designed for the safeguarding of power distribution circuits operating at alternating currents between 50-60Hz, it effectively manages rated operating currents up to 1000A. Beyond power distribution, this versatile circuit breaker is also ideal for electric motors, providing infrequent starting, overload protection, and defense against short circuits and undervoltage conditions.
When compared to its predecessor, the DAM1 series, the innovative DAM3 series stands out with its more compact design, enhanced breaking capacity, and superior energy-saving capabilities.

Introduction
The advanced DAM3-1600 molded case circuit breaker is designed to automatically interrupt the electrical current when it exceeds the preset release threshold. The term 'molded case' refers to the durable plastic insulator that forms the frame of the device, effectively insulating the internal conductors and grounding components.
Working principle
The main contact of the DAM3-1600 molded case circuit breaker can be engaged either manually or electrically. Once the main contact is closed, the free release mechanism securely locks it into position. The overcurrent trip coil and thermal trip element are connected in series with the main circuit, while the undervoltage trip coil operates in parallel with the power supply, ensuring reliable protection.
