The term 'molded case' refers to the durable plastic insulator that forms the frame of the device, providing essential insulation between the conductor and the metal grounding component.

Working principle
The primary contact of the DAM3-1600 molded case circuit breaker can be operated manually or electrically. Once the main contact is closed, the free release mechanism secures it in the closed position. The overcurrent trip coil and the thermal trip element are integrated in series with the main circuit, while the undervoltage trip coil is connected in parallel with the power supply.
