Thermal-Magnetic Circuit Breakers:

The bimetallic strip, an essential component for thermal protection, is crafted from two metals with distinct thermal expansion rates. As heat builds up, the bimetal bends towards the metal with the lower expansion rate. This mechanism triggers the notch that opens the breaker, effectively disabling it. The bending rate of the bimetal correlates directly with the current size passing through, as increased current elevates the heat level, thereby empowering the bimetal to perform over-current protection at load currents exceeding the rated threshold.
Magnetic Protection Function(Ensures safety under short circuit conditions) A vital function of the breaker is tosafeguard the connected circuit against shortcircuits.
