The DAM3-1600 Molded Case Circuit Breaker is engineered to automatically disconnect the current when it surpasses the release setting. The term 'molded case' pertains to the plastic insulator framing the device, ensuring effective insulation of the conductor and the metal grounding component.

Working Principle
The DAM3-1600 Molded Case Circuit Breaker's main contact can be engaged either manually or electrically. Once closed, the free release mechanism secures the main contact in its closed state. The overcurrent trip coil and thermal trip element are integrated in series with the main circuit, while the undervoltage trip coil is parallel to the power supply, ensuring comprehensive protection.
