Overview
The Dada DAM3-1600 Molded Case Circuit Breaker stands out with its impressive capability of handling up to 1600A of rated current. Expertly crafted for safeguarding power distribution circuits, these superior devices are ideal for alternating current systems operating at frequencies between 50-60Hz, with an operating current rated up to 1000A. Not only are they indispensable for protecting electric motors against overloads and infrequent startups, but they also ensure safety against short circuits and undervoltage, making them a critical component in modern electrical systems.
When comparing the DAM1 and DAM3 series, the DAM3 models emerge as more compact, boasting a smaller volume yet delivering a significantly higher breaking capacity. The design enhancements result in greater energy efficiency, making them the perfect choice for eco-conscious applications.

Introduction
The innovative DAM3-1600 molded case circuit breaker is engineered to automatically disengage the current when it surpasses the pre-set release threshold. 'Molded case' refers to the robust plastic insulation acting as the framework, adeptly insulating both the conductor and the metallic grounding elements, ensuring maximum safety and reliability.
Working principle
Operating the DAM3-1600 molded case circuit breaker is a seamless experience, with the main contact being maneuvered either manually or through electric control. Once the main contact achieves closure, the free release mechanism ensures it remains securely locked in position. For safety, the overcurrent trip coil and thermal trip element are intricately connected in series with the main circuit, while the undervoltage trip coil is parallelly linked with the power supply, embodying a sophisticated protection mechanism.
