The DAM1 Series Circuit Breakers: Your ultimate solution for seamless current conduction under normal conditions and impeccable switching capabilities during critical events like short circuits, overloads, and inadmissible bucking. Designed to ensure safety and operational reliability, these breakers are perfect for electric units with an operational voltage restriction up to 400V, covering a vast current range from 12.5A to 1600A.

They are fully compliant with the stringent standards of EN 60947-1 and EN 60947-2.


Thermal-Magnetic Circuit Breakers:

Thermal Protection Function: Ensuring unrivaled protection against overload conditions.
The Bimetal Advantage: A sophisticated bimetal component, consisting of two metals with distinct heat extension coefficients, forms the core of the thermal protection system. Upon heating, the bimetal bends towards the less expansive metal, triggering a precise notch that facilitates the opening of the breaker mechanism. This bending action is directly proportional to the current's magnitude, as increased current translates to increased heat, enabling overcurrent protection to be automatically executed by the bimetal when load currents exceed the designated rated current.
Magnetic Protection Function Short Circuit Protection Role: Another vital function of the breaker is to safeguard the connected circuit from potential short circuits. Such occurrences might arise from the contact between phases or between a phase and the ground. In the event of a short circuit, the resultant surge in current flow through the cables necessitates immediate disruption of the system energy, enabled via thermal protection. The breaker must execute an instantaneous opening to ensure the safety of the load it safeguards. The core of this vital function is a mechanical opening mechanism, crafted to respond swiftly to magnetization caused by the magnetic field generated by the short circuit current. This ensures rapid and effective system protection through instant breaker operation.
