The DAM3-1600 molded case circuit breaker is engineered to automatically interrupt the current flow when it exceeds pre-set limits. The term 'molded case' refers to the durable plastic insulator that encases the device, providing excellent insulation for the conductor and metal grounding components.

Working Principle
The main contact of the DAM3-1600 molded case circuit breaker can be manually operated or electrically closed. Once the main contact is engaged, the free release mechanism secures it in the closed position. The overcurrent trip coil and thermal trip element are series-connected within the main circuit, while the undervoltage trip coil is connected in parallel with the power supply.
