Introduction
The DAM3-1600 Molded Case Circuit Breaker is designed to seamlessly and automatically disconnect the flow of current upon exceeding the pre-set release threshold. The term 'molded case' refers to the robust plastic insulator that forms the frame of the device, proficiently insulating the conductor and the metal grounding components.
Working principle
The operational heart of the DAM3-1600 Molded Case Circuit Breaker is its main contact, which can be manually operated or electrically closed. Once the main contact is secured in the closed position, the free release mechanism firmly locks it there. The overcurrent trip coil and thermal trip element are ingeniously connected in series with the main circuit, while the undervoltage trip coil is aligned in parallel with the power supply, ensuring optimal functionality and safety.
