'Molded case' refers to the robust plastic insulator that serves as the device's frame, providing essential insulation for the conductor and the metal grounding component.
Working principle
The primary contact of the DAM3-1600 molded case circuit breaker can be closed manually or electrically. Once closed, the free-release mechanism secures the main contact in the closed position. The overcurrent trip coil and the thermal trip element are intricately linked in series with the main circuit, while the undervoltage trip coil is connected in parallel with the power supply, ensuring comprehensive protection.
