Introduction

The DAM1 series circuit breakers are meticulously engineered to conduct current under normal conditions and adeptly interrupt it during short circuits, overloads, and inadmissible bucking. These breakers also facilitate operational activation and deactivation of electric circuit components. Perfectly suited for electric units with an operative voltage capped at 400V, they boast a rated current range from 12.5A to 1600A.

They adhere strictly to the stringent standards of EN 60947-1 and EN 60947-2.

Thermal-Magnetic Circuit Breakers:

Thermal Protection Function: (Designed for overload protection)
Our advanced bimetal thermal protection system incorporates two metals with differing thermal expansion rates. As the bimetal heats, it bends toward the metal with a lower expansion rate, thereby triggering a mechanism to open the breaker. The bending speed is directly proportional to the current magnitude, ensuring precise overcurrent protection by activating at load currents exceeding the rated capacity.
Magnetic Protection Function:(Engineered for short circuit protection) Another critical function of the breaker is tosafeguard the connected circuit against shortcircuits, which can occur due to phase-phase contact orphase-ground contact. During a short circuit,an extraordinarily high current surge flows through the cables.To prevent damage, the system's energymust be promptly interrupted, as thermal protection aloneis insufficient. The breaker mustinstantly activate to shield the connected load.This protection is ensured by amechanical opening mechanism,which is actuatedby the magnetization effect triggered by the short circuit current's magnetic field.
