Introduction
The DAM3-250 molded case circuit breaker is designed to automatically disconnect the current when it surpasses the preset release setting. The term 'molded case' refers to the use of a plastic insulator that forms the frame of the device, efficiently insulating the conductor and the metal grounding component to ensure optimal safety and performance.
Working principle
The main contact of the DAM3-250 molded case circuit breaker can be closed either manually or electrically. Once the main contact is engaged, the free-release mechanism secures it in the closed position. An overcurrent trip coil and a thermal trip element are connected in series within the main circuit, while an undervoltage trip coil is connected in parallel with the power supply, ensuring comprehensive protection.
