Introduction
The DAM3-1600 MCCB Molded Case Circuit Breaker is engineered to automatically interrupt current flow when it exceeds the predetermined release setting. The term 'molded case' pertains to the robust plastic insulator that acts as the device's frame, providing essential insulation between the conductor and the metal grounding component.
Working principle
The primary contact operation of the DAM3-1600 MCCB Molded Case Circuit Breaker can be manually or electrically actuated. Once the main contact is closed, the free release mechanism locks it in place. The overcurrent trip coil and thermal trip element are integrated in series with the main circuit, while the undervoltage trip coil is connected in parallel with the power supply to ensure comprehensive protection.
