Introduction

The illustrious DAM1 series circuit breakers are expertly crafted to conduct current seamlessly under normal conditions and to decisively interrupt it during instances of short circuits, overloads, and unacceptable bucking. Additionally, they ensure optimal operational actuation and are adept at tripping specific parts of the electric circuit. Tailored for electric units, these circuit breakers operate efficiently within an operational voltage cap of 400V, accommodating a wide range of rated currents from a modest 12.5A to a substantial 1600A.

These top-tier circuit breakers are meticulously engineered to meet the esteemed standards of EN 60947-1 and EN 60947-2.


Thermal-Magnetic Circuit Breakers:

Thermal protection function: (Ensures safeguarding under overload conditions)
At the heart of thermal protection is the innovative bimetal, a sophisticated fusion of two metals with distinct expansion coefficients when heated. Upon heating, the bimetal artfully bends towards the less expansive metal, thereby releasing a notch that assists in activating the breaker mechanism, halting the breaker from functioning. The bimetal's bending rate is directly proportional to the magnitude of the current flowing through the breaker, as an increase in current equates to an increase in heat. This ingenious mechanism ensures that the breaker fulfills its overcurrent protection duties when load currents exceed the rated current, safeguarding your electrical systems with precision.
Magnetic protection function (Ensures safeguarding under short circuit conditions) Another pivotal function of the breaker is to safeguard the connected circuit from the perils of short circuits. These occurrences might transpire due to the contact between phases or the interaction between phase and ground. In such instances, an exceptionally high current surges through the cables, necessitating a rapid interruption of the system's power to ensure thermal protection. The breaker is engineered to execute an immediate opening, thus guarding the load it is connected to. This critical function is performed by a mechanical opening mechanism that is activated by the magnetic field created by the short circuit current, efficiently cutting off the power to shield your valuable equipment.
