Introduction
The DAM3-1600 molded case circuit breaker is engineered to automatically cut off the current whenever it surpasses the set release threshold. The 'molded case' refers to the robust plastic insulator that forms the frame of the device, effectively insulating the conductor from the metal grounding component for enhanced safety.
Working principle
The primary contact of the DAM3-1600 molded case circuit breaker can be operated manually or closed electrically. Once the main contact is closed, the free-release mechanism securely locks it into the closing position. The overcurrent trip coil and the thermal trip element are strategically connected in series with the main circuit, while the undervoltage trip coil is connected in parallel with the power supply, ensuring optimal functionality and reliability.
