Introduction

The DAM1 series circuit breakers by Shanghai DaDa Electric Co., Ltd., are precision-engineered to ensure seamless current conduction in standard operations and provide robust protection against short circuits, overloads, and other electrical anomalies. These superior breakers are designed for electric units with an operative voltage up to 400V, supporting rated currents from 12.5A to a substantial 1600A.

Thermal-Magnetic Circuit Breakers:

Thermal Protection Function: (Protects under overload conditions)
At the heart of our thermal protection lies the bimetal mechanism, a sophisticated blend of two metals with differing thermal expansion rates. When exposed to heat, the bimetal bends toward the metal with a lower expansion rate, activating a notch that triggers the breaker mechanism to disable the circuit. The bending speed correlates directly with the current size, ensuring efficient overcurrent protection for currents exceeding the rated load. This innovative approach ensures reliable overcurrent protection by the bimetal at load currents higher than the rated capacity.
Magnetic Protection Function(Provides protection under short circuit conditions)One critical function of our breaker is to safeguard the connected circuit againstshort circuits. Such faults may arise from phase-to-phase contacts or phase-to-ground shorts. When a short circuit occurs, an exceptionally high current flows through the cables, necessitating an immediate energy cut-off to prevent thermal damage.Given the urgency of these situations, the breaker must operate instantaneously toshield the connected load. A mechanical opening mechanism, driven by the magneticfield generated by the short circuit current, fulfills this critical protection role. Thismechanism ensures the system remains secure, offering swift and reliable responseto electrical faults, thereby guaranteeing the integrity and safety of the entireelectrical system.Our advanced technology ensures that the breaker performs instantaneous openingto protect the load and maintain the overall system's safety. The mechanicalopening mechanism is activated by the magnetic field generated by the shortcircuit current, assuring prompt andeffective interruption of power when needed most.
