Introduction
The DAM3-1600 molded case circuit breaker is equipped with an automatic cut-off mechanism that activates when the current surpasses the preset release threshold. The term 'molded case' indicates the use of a plastic insulator as the device's frame, ensuring effective insulation between the conductor and the metal grounding component.
Working Principle
The main contact of the DAM3-1600 molded case circuit breaker can be engaged either manually or electrically. Once the main contact is closed, the free release mechanism secures it in the closed position. The overcurrent trip coil and thermal trip element are integrated in series with the main circuit, while the undervoltage trip coil is configured in parallel with the power supply, ensuring comprehensive protection and operational reliability.
