Product Description

DAM3-1600 MCCB Molded Case Circuit Breaker

1600A Triple Pole MCCB with BMC Base and Pr211 Certification

Overview
The Dada DAM3-1600 molded case circuit breaker boasts a rated current capacity of up to 1600A, making it an indispensable tool for safeguarding power distribution circuits operating at 50-60Hz and up to 1000A. This versatile device is engineered for the protection of electric motors, offering reliable performance for infrequent motor starts, comprehensive overload protection, as well as defense against short circuits and undervoltage incidents.

In comparison to the DAM1 series, the DAM3 series is meticulously designed to feature a more compact form factor and superior breaking capacity, which collectively contribute to enhanced energy efficiency.

Introduction
The DAM3-1600 molded case circuit breaker is engineered to automatically disconnect the current flow when it surpasses the preset release threshold. The term 'molded case' pertains to the plastic insulating frame that encapsulates the conductor and the metal grounding components, ensuring optimal insulation and safety.

Working principle
Operation of the DAM3-1600 circuit breaker involves either manual handling or electric actuation of the main contact. Once closed, the free release mechanism secures the main contact in the closed state. The system integrates an overcurrent trip coil and a thermal trip element in series with the main circuit, while the undervoltage trip coil is connected in parallel with the power supply, ensuring a robust and responsive protective mechanism.
