Introduction
The DAM3-1600 molded case circuit breaker is an advanced protective device designed to ensure user safety by automatically disconnecting power when the current exceeds its predetermined release threshold. This sophisticated system utilizes a molded case constructed from robust plastic insulators, which forms the enclosure of the device, effectively insulating the conductors and metal grounding elements to enhance safety.
Working principle
Functioning with exceptional accuracy, the DAM3-1600 molded case circuit breaker features a primary contact that can be manipulated manually or through an electric closure. Once locked in the closed position by the free release mechanism, the breaker is primed to protect. The overcurrent trip coil and thermal trip element, integrated in series with the main circuit, swiftly react to excess current, while the undervoltage trip coil, connected in parallel with the power source, ensures unwavering protection against voltage fluctuations.
