Introduction
The DAM3-250 Molded Case Circuit Breaker is equipped to automatically disconnect the current whenever it surpasses the pre-set release point. The term 'molded case' refers to the robust plastic insulator that forms the frame of the device, effectively insulating the conductor from the metal grounding component.
Working principle
The primary contact of the DAM3-250 Molded Case Circuit Breaker can be manually operated or electrically closed. Once closed, the free release mechanism ensures the primary contact is securely locked in place. The overcurrent trip coil and thermal trip element are integrated in series with the main circuit, while the undervoltage trip coil is connected in parallel with the power supply.
