3 Product description

3.1 Overview
The company's confluence box is divided into four categories: anti-reverse intelligent confluence box, anti-reverse non-intelligent convergence box, non-anti-reverse intelligent confluence box without anti-reverse non-intelligent convergence box. According to the number of input channels, it is divided into 6 channels, 8 channels, 10 channels, 12 channels, 14 channels, 16 channels and 18 channels. The anti-reverse intelligent convergence box is mainly composed of DC circuit breakers,It is composed of lightning protection, anti-reverse diode, cable interface, fuse, sampling board, monitoring board and auxiliary power supply board. The function of anti-reverse diode is to prevent the back filling of current between solar panels caused by local shadows or damaged battery panels, so as to avoid damage to other battery panels. The sampling board mainly samples the current of each branch line in the confluence box. PV busbar voltage sampling and monitoring board can monitor the state of lightning arrestors, circuit breakers, etc., communicate with the upper computer, and send the collected data to the upper computer in real time to monitor the current, voltage and various state quantities, etc.
The convergence box without anti-reverse function does not have anti-reverse diodes. The non-intelligent convergence box does not have the functions of voltage, current, lightning protection status detection, DC circuit breaker status detection, etc.

3.2 Nameplate identification
Users can identify the confluence box through the nameplate of the confluence box. The contents of the nameplate are as follows:


Model: Our company's confluence box is divided into four categories: anti-reverse intelligence, anti-reverse non-intelligence, no anti-reverse intelligence, and no anti-reverse intelligence. According to the number of input channels, it is divided into 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18 inputs.
  1. Maximum input voltage: the maximum DC voltage allowed by the confluence box.
  2. The maximum number of DC input channels: the maximum number of channels for the photovoltaic array that is allowed to be input by the junction box.
  3. Fuse level: choose the reference when replacing the fuse.
  4. Maximum input current per channel: the maximum current allowed for each photovoltaic group to be input.

3.5 Instructions for choosing the fuse level
In any power system, fuses are used to protect electronic devices from over current hazards. If not protected, over current may cause electronic devices to fail, overheat and damage or even fire. If the fuse level is too large, it cannot play a protective role. If the fuse level is too small, the circuit will not work normally. . Therefore, when choosing the fuse grade, it should be determined according to the rated grade and relevant standards of the photovoltaic array.

The grade of the fuse can be determined by the short-circuit current lse of the photovoltaic array, due to the short-circuit current of solar panels of different specifications.Large size Sc is also different, so we need to replace different levels of fuses to meet the requirements of our photovoltaic array.


3.6 DC circuit breaker grade selection instructions,The selection of a DC circuit breaker depends on the number of roads input in the junction box and the size of each input current. For example, a 12-way junction box, assuming that the short-circuit current Isc of the photovoltaic array is 10A, and the voltage size is 1000V, the current flowing through the DC circuit breaker is 10X12=120A. Therefore, the DC circuit breaker should be at least higher than the level of 120A/1000V. Please note that the parameter selection of the voltage and current of the circuit breaker should be left with a certain margin.Because the circuit breaker will need to be reduced in capacity with the change of ambient temperature and altitude.


3.7 Performance characteristics
Use photovoltaic-specific DC circuit breakers, lightning protection and fuses.

Anti-reverse diode to prevent the solar panels from being damaged by electric current from each other.

The measurement voltage range is 0-1000V. Detect the status of the lightning and circuit breaker, as well as the temperature of the radiator (or box). ( Non-intelligence does not have this function)

It has RS485 communication interface, and the communication protocol is MODBUS protocol. ( Non-intelligence does not have this function)

The power supply mode is the internal PV power supply mode: DC250-1000V.
The communication address can be selected. By pressing the button, you can check the size of each current, the voltage size of the PV bus, the temperature, the RS485 communication baud rate, the communication address of the box and the type of the box. ( Non-intelligence does not have this function)

5 Installation and use
 Explanation The content of this chapter is to take SCR-16M as an example. The installation and usage of other routes are similar. 

5.1 Basic requirements for installation
Although the waterproof level of all models of the company's confluence box is IP65, it can be installed outdoors, but at the same time, it is also an electronic device, so try not to install it in damp places, and try to install it in well-ventilated, dry and dust-proof places.

Try to be as close to the photovoltaic array and reduce the use of cables for better convergence.
The installation environment of the confluence box is -25°C~+55"C, and the relative humidity is≤95%.
Avoid installing it in direct sunlight, otherwise excessive temperature may reduce the service life of the confluence box.
The confluence box should be installed upright as much as possible.
Inverted installation is prohibited.

5.2 Preparation of installation tools
Electric drill, screwdriver, movable wrench, simple wrench (M9), etc.

5.3 Mechanical installation methods and steps
When the confluence box is wall-mounted on the bracket of the solar panel, it needs to be equipped with hexagonal bolts (R4.5), flat pads (R4.5) and elastic pads (R4.5). Users can also choose suitable bolts according to the specific installation conditions. Let's take the SCR-16M intelligent confluence box as an example to explain the installation steps. The installation steps of other types of confluence boxes are the same, but the size is different, and the specific size. Installation steps:
(1) The bracket for installing the confluence box on the solar panel needs to meet the following dimensions (unit mm),
As shown in Figure 4-1. As shown in Figure 4-2.

(2) Install the confluence box with hexagonal nuts and hexagonal bolts. From front to back, they are bolts, confluence box hanging ears, brackets, flat pads, elastic pads and nuts in order.

(3) Check whether the confluence box is installed correctly and firmly.

(4) Check whether the cables of the junction box are connected Fasten securely, whether the waterproof terminal is fastened

5.4 Electrical installation
If the number of roads of the actual connected photovoltaic array is less than the maximum of the junction box When connecting to the number of lines, the extra terminal blocks can be left empty, and the empty waterproof terminal blocks need to be blocked with waterproof plugs.

Each input is equipped with a special fuse for photo voltaics. As a protective device for the pre-input, it detects whether the voltage between the positive and negative poles of each group is between 0 and 1000V before inserting the fuse, and ensures that each photovoltaic group is fault-free.

For intelligent and non-intelligent junction boxes with 6, 8, 10 and 12 channels, users should choose suitable wiring cables according to Table 5-2.

Description: Different cable manufacturers will exist.There is a certain difference. The wire diameter varies according to the PV battery panel, but it should match the wire diameter of the waterproof terminal.

As shown in Figure 5-2, explain the terminal situation:
Marked PV+IN is the photovoltaic array DC positive junction hole, and PV- IN is the photovoltaic array DC negative junction hole. 
Marked with PV+ is the DC positive confluence output wiring hole, PV- is the DC negative confluence output wiring hole, and the grounding wiring hole of the power grid grounding symbol.
The one with the RS485 logo is the communication wiring hole, the upper wiring hole, the communication interface of the RS485 connected to the previous junction box, the bottom A wiring hole connects the RS485 communication interface of the next junction box.

5.4.2 Preparation before wiring
All of the company's photovoltaic array lightning protection junction boxes provide keys to close and open the chassis by inserting the key into the lock and screwing it in the direction shown in Figure 5-3. Turn off the case clockwise and open the case counterclockwise. Note that both upper and lower parts must be turned on or off in order to effectively open or close the case.
(1) Turn on the confluence box
(2) Dial the empty space to the "OFF" state, that is, the disconnected state.
(3) Pull out all fuses. If the fuse is not installed before leaving the factory, skip this step.
(4) Use a special electrician clamp to pull out all the fuses, and the insulation voltage of the electrician clamp is greater than 1000V.

5.4.3 DC input and output wiring
Widing steps:
Loosen the anti-loosening cap at the lower end of the confluence box.
Pass the cable with the line number PV1+ through the positive input terminal of the photovoltaic array and connect it to the terminal of the input terminal of the fuse box corresponding to the junction box. Note that the line should be left with margin for fixing.
Use wire stripping pliers to remove the insulation layer and the shielding layer, so that the copper core of the wire is exposed by about 12mm.
Loosen the fastening screw of the terminal with a Phillips screwdriver, insert the wire into the input terminal of the fuse box, and tighten Firm Screws.
Connect the rest of the wires in the same way, and it's best to connect the wires in order - one corresponds to the corresponding fuse box.Enter Terminal blocks, for later maintenance.


It is recommended to wear insulating gloves when wiring. The insulation voltage of the insulating gloves is greater than 1000V.

Note: After the input and output lines of the junction box are connected, please be sure to tighten the waterproof terminal, otherwise water may enter the box. If the waterproof terminal is not tightened due to engineering wiring, our company will not be responsible for all the consequences caused by water inflow.

5.4.4 Communication wiring
At the output wiring, the output wiring of the confluence box positive pole is marked with PV+. These two wires are circuit breakers.Definite Want Pay attention not to When wiring, the screws must be tightened, otherwise it may cause heat and even more serious consequences.
Explain ULZ 000495 ::Non-intelligent There is no step of communication wiring.

5.4.6 Install the fuse after connecting all the wires, use a special insulation with a voltage resistance greater than 1000V.The pliers install the fuse into the fuse box. Note that the fuse must be firmly embedded in the fuse box to avoid poor contact.

5.5 Viewing the Monitoring Data of the Bus Box
Description: Non-intelligent does not have this function.

As shown in Figure 5-6, there is a 6-bit digital tube. The first 2 digits are used to display the number of pages, and the last 4 digits are used to display the current size, voltage size, temperature, the communication address of the confluence box and the type of the confluence box in turn. As shown in Figure 5-6, there are three buttons. From left to right, they are key 1, key 2 and key 3:
Key 1: Use to turn the page up, Key 2: Use to turn the page down, Key 3: Confirm key.
4 LED lights, from left to right are indicator light 1, indicator light 2, indicator light 3, indicator light 4.

Indicator light 1: is the power indicator light,
Indicator light 2: It is the system operation indicator light. A flash of indicator light 2 (2 times per second) means that the system is running normally.
The indicator light 2 flashes quickly (4 times per second) indicates that there is an alarm or malfunction.
Indicator lights 3 and 4: are RS485 communication indicator lights, which will flash during communication. The display content of the digital tube is listed in Table 5-4.

Description: After the digital tube lights up for more than ten seconds, the display will automatically turn off and be in power-saving mode. To restore the LED display, just press key 1~key 3 to restore the display.
5.6 Setting of communication parameters
Description: Non-intelligence does not have the following functions (5.6.1-5.6.3)
The communication parameters of the confluence box can be set and queried through the buttons on the circuit board, mainly the setting of the communication address and the setting of the communication speed.
5.6.1 Setting of address
This machine provides key query communication parameters, which can be realized through the three keys that are not in Figure 5-6. The address setting method is as follows:
After pressing the button 2 for about 5 seconds, enter the RS485 address setting interface, and the digital tube displays the current address.
Through key 1 and key 2, you can add or subtract the address with a step length of 1, and set the desired address.
The address setting range is 0-255.
Press 3 to confirm the address settings and exit the setting page.
5.6.2 Setting of baud rate
Baud rate refers to the speed of RS485 communication, which can also be achieved through the three keys shown in Figure 5-6. The setting method is as follows:
After pressing the button 1 for about 5 seconds, enter the RS485 baud rate setting interface, and the digital tube displays the current communication baud rate.
Through key 1 and key 2, the communication baud rate can be selected; four baud rate options of 1200/2400/4800/9600bps are provided. Select the appropriate baud rate through key 1 and key 2.
Press 3 to confirm the baud rate setting and exit the setting page ULZ 000612Attention:

1. When the communication distance is long, choose a lower baud rate, and the communication will be more stable.
  1. The baud rate setting of the convergence box must be consistent with the baud rate of the upper computer monitoring software.


5.6.3 Selection of machine type


The company provides a total of seven models of 6-way, 8-way, 10-way, 12-way, 14-way, 16-way and 18-way. Different models must select the corresponding machine type through the dial switch on the monitoring board, and the content displayed by the digital tube will be correct, as shown in Figure 5-7.

In Table 5-5, "1" means to dial up, and "0" means to dial down. For example, for 10-way, you only need to dial down the dial switch 1 and 3, dial up the dial switch 2, and dial to the position of "ON". After selecting the machine type, in order to determine whether your choice is correct, you can turn the page by pressing the key 1 and key 2. The machine type will be displayed on the digital tube. If it is 10 ways 10 will be displayed on it. Generally, when leaving the factory, the machine type will be selected according to the needs of customers.
Say Ming: In addition to the dialing code listed in the table above, the digital tube will display "Err" in other cases, indicating that the machine type is not selected.

5.7 Start-stop confluence box
The confluence box runs automatically after powering on, and automatically shuts down when the power is cut off. The DC confluence output of the confluence box can be turned on and stopped through the DC circuit breaker.


6 Routine maintenance
Due to the influence of ambient temperature, humidity and dust, there may be faults, so the confluence box needs regular maintenance to ensure the normal operation and service life of the confluence box. When maintenance is required, the confluence box must be stopped to ensure that the contact part is not ered.
Special attention: The fuse bears the high pressure of the Mizi battery board and inverter, and must not be touched during normal operation.Before replacing and checking the fuse, the DC circuit breaker must be disconnected, but note that there is still high voltage at both ends of the DC circuit breaker at this time. It must be confirmed that each current is zero before the fuse can be removed for maintenance on the Yang energy battery board or confluence box. It is recommended to wear insulating gloves during maintenance, and the insulation voltage is greater than 10C.Zero V.

6.1 Replacement of fuses
The fuse cannot be restored after it is melted, and the fuse needs to be replaced by the operator of the relevant qualification certificate.
When replacing the fuse, disconnect the circuit breaker first. Do not open and close the fuse box with a load, otherwise the fuse may break.

7 Fault handling
Special attention:
Before troubleshooting, please follow the steps below to ensure safety.
Before operating the confluence box, be sure to disconnect the DC circuit breaker so that the convergence box can be disconnected from the convergence DC output.
Remove all fuses. At this time, there is still high voltage at both ends of the fuse holder.
It is recommended to wear insulating gloves. The insulation ratio of insulating gloves is greater than 100UV.

7.1 Common troubleshooting methods

7.1.1 RS485 communication failure
Steps to hang up the fault:
  1. Check that the power supply is normal, and the power supply voltage at both ends of the normal R5485 heart piece is about 5V.
If it is not normal, check the auxiliary power output again.
  1. Check whether the address of the query set by the monitoring software on the upper computer is consistent with the address of the stream box to be viewed. 
  2. Check whether the communication baud rate set by the upper computer monitoring software is consistent with the baud rate of the confluence to be checked.
  3. Interference of communication lines, check whether the communication bus terminal is connected to a matching resistance of 120Ω.


7.1.2 Lightning arrester failure
Check whether the detection wire of the lightning arr ester is firmly wired. If the contact is good, it means that the lightning arrector has failed.,The lightning arrector should be replaced immediately.

7.1.3 The digital tube is not displayed
Press key 1 (flip-up key) or key 2 (flip-down key). If the digital tube is still not displayed, it means that there is a problem with the digital tube display circuit.


7.1.4 Current sampling problem
If the current sampling display value of a channel is much larger or smaller than other channels, please check the fuse and photovoltaic array.
