Introduction
The DAM3-250 molded case circuit breaker is intelligently designed to automatically interrupt the current flow when it exceeds the predefined release setting. The term 'molded case' refers to the sophisticated use of a plastic insulator as the framework of the device, effectively insulating the conductor from the metal grounding component, ensuring optimal safety and reliability.
Working principle
The operation of the DAM3-250 molded case circuit breaker is an exemplar of sophisticated engineering. The main contact is either manually activated or electrically closed. Once the main contact is secured in the closed position, a highly responsive free release mechanism ensures it remains locked. The overcurrent trip coil and the thermal trip element are ingeniously connected in series with the main circuit, while the undervoltage trip coil is strategically connected in parallel with the power supply, ensuring seamless and reliable operation.
