Introduction
The DAM3-250 molded case circuit breaker is engineered to automatically disconnect the current flow when it exceeds the pre-set threshold. The term 'molded case' refers to the durable plastic insulator that forms the frame of the device, effectively insulating the conductor and the metallic grounding components.
Working Principle
The main contact of the DAM3-250 molded case circuit breaker can be operated manually or closed electrically. Once the main contact is secured, the free release mechanism locks it into the closed position. The overcurrent trip coil and thermal trip element are in series with the main circuit, while the undervoltage trip coil is connected in parallel with the power supply to ensure optimal performance and safety under varying electrical conditions.
