The Dada DAM3-1600 molded case circuit breaker boasts a rated current capacity of up to 1600A. Introduction
The DAM3-1600 molded case circuit breaker is designed to automatically disrupt the current flow when it surpasses the release setting, ensuring superior safety and reliability. The term 'molded case' signifies the plastic insulator that forms the device's framework, effectively insulating the conductor from the metal grounding parts.
Working principle
The operation of the DAM3-1600 molded case circuit breaker involves either manual manipulation or electric closing of the main contact. Once the main contact is secured in its closed position by the free release mechanism, the overcurrent trip coil and thermal trip element, connected in series with the main circuit, and the undervoltage trip coil, connected in parallel with the power supply, ensure comprehensive protection.
