Introduction

The DAM1 series circuit breakers are meticulously engineered to conduct current seamlessly under normal conditions and to promptly disconnect during short circuits, overloads, and other electrical anomalies. These circuit breakers also facilitate operational actuation and safeguard electric circuits. They are suitable for electric units with an operational voltage cap of 400V and a rated current spanning from 12.5 to 1600A.

Thermal-Magnetic Circuit Breakers:

Thermal Protection Function: (For safeguarding under overload conditions)
The thermal protection mechanism relies on a bimetal strip composed of two metals with distinct thermal expansion coefficients. Upon heating, the bimetal bends towards the metal with a lower expansion rate, triggering a notch that activates the breaker mechanism to disconnect the circuit. The bending speed of the bimetal is directly proportional to the current passing through the breaker, ensuring precise overload protection.
Magnetic Protection Function:(For safeguarding under short circuit conditions) Another crucial function of the breaker is toshield the connected circuit against short circuits.Short circuits can occur due tophase-to-phase contact or phase-to-ground contact.In the event of a short circuit, an exceedingly high current passes through the cables,necessitating the system to disconnect power swiftly toprevent thermal damage. The breaker ensuresrapid disconnection to protect the connected load.This function is executed by a mechanical opening mechanism,which is activated by the magnetic field generated by the short circuit current.This ensures thebreaker performsinstantaneous opening tosafeguard the electrical system effectively.
