Introduction
The DAM3-1600 molded case circuit breaker is engineered to provide automatic current interruption when the threshold set by the release mechanism is surpassed. Its 'molded case' nomenclature is derived from the durable plastic insulator forming the device's frame, which serves to isolate the current-carrying conductors from the grounded metal components, ensuring operational safety.
Working principle
The operational brilliance of the DAM3-1600 molded case circuit breaker lies in its sophisticated mechanism. The main contact is engaged either manually or via electric activation. Once closed, the free release mechanism ensures the main contact remains securely in place. This system integrates an overcurrent trip coil and a thermal trip element in series with the main circuit, while the undervoltage trip coil aligns in parallel with the power supply, guaranteeing comprehensive protection and reliability in your electrical systems.
