Introduction

The DAM1 series circuit breakers are masterfully engineered to ensure seamless current conduction during standard operations. They offer robust protection by swiftly interrupting the circuit during short circuits, overloads, and unacceptable bucking. Moreover, they facilitate operational actuation and tripping in electric circuits. These breakers are tailored for electric units with an operational voltage cap of 400V, covering a wide range of rated currents from 12.5 to 1600A.

They perfectly align with the stringent standards of EN 60947-1 and EN 60947-2.


Thermal-Magnetic Circuit Breakers:

Thermal protection function: (Ensuring safety under overload conditions)
The innovative thermal protection is powered by a bimetallic strip, ingeniously crafted from two metals with distinct thermal expansion properties. Upon heating, the bimetal bends towards the metal with the lower expansion rate, ingeniously triggering a notch to disengage the breaker mechanism, thus deactivating it. The bending velocity of the bimetal is directly proportional to the current's magnitude passing through the breaker, as increased current equates to heightened heat. Through this mechanism, the bimetal effectively provides overcurrent protection for load currents exceeding the rated value.
Magnetic protection function: (Ensuring reliability under short circuit conditions) A pivotal role of the breaker is to safeguard the connected circuit against the threat of short circuits. Short circuits may arise from phase-to-phase contact or phase-to-ground contact. In situations of short circuits, an immense current surge travels through the cables, necessitating a rapid interruption of system energy to prevent thermal damage. The breaker must immediately activate to shield the load it is connected to. This crucial task is managed by a mechanical opening mechanism, engineered to activate through magnetization induced by the magnetic field generated by the short circuit current.
