Introduction
The DAM3-250 molded case circuit breaker is designed with precision to automatically disengage the current flow whenever it surpasses the pre-set release threshold. The term 'molded case' denotes the robust plastic insulator that forms the framework of the device, providing essential insulation between the conductor and any metal grounding components.
Working principle
The operation of the DAM3-250 molded case circuit breaker is either manually or electrically controlled. Once the main contact is secured, the free release mechanism maintains it in the closed position. This sophisticated system integrates an overcurrent trip coil and a thermal trip element in a series connection with the main circuit. Additionally, the undervoltage trip coil is arranged in parallel with the power supply, ensuring comprehensive protection.
