Introduction
The advanced DAM3-1600 molded case circuit breaker seamlessly interrupts the current flow whenever it surpasses the preset release setting. The 'molded case' terminology refers to the robust plastic insulator framing the device, which effectively insulates the conductor and metal grounding components.
Working principle
The primary contact of the DAM3-1600 molded case circuit breaker is manually operated or electrically closed. Once the primary contact is engaged, a free release mechanism secures it in the closed position. The overcurrent trip coil and thermal trip element are connected serially with the main circuit, while the undervoltage trip coil and power supply are connected in parallel.
