Introduction
The DAM3-1600 molded case circuit breaker is engineered to automatically disconnect the current when it surpasses the preset release threshold. The term 'molded case' refers to the durable plastic insulator that forms the device's frame, efficiently insulating the conductor and metal grounding components.
Working principle
The operation of the DAM3-1600 molded case circuit breaker involves either manual manipulation or electric closing of the main contact. Once closed, the free release mechanism securely locks the main contact in place. The overcurrent trip coil and thermal trip element are intricately linked in series with the main circuit, while the undervoltage trip coil is connected in parallel with the power supply, ensuring comprehensive protection and operational reliability.
