The DAM3-250 molded case circuit breaker is engineered to automatically interrupt the current flow when it surpasses the preset release threshold. The term 'molded case' refers to the robust plastic insulator that forms the frame of the device, effectively isolating the conductor from the metal grounding components.

Working Principle
Operating the DAM3-250 involves manual or electric closing of the main contact. Once closed, a free release mechanism securely locks the main contact in place. The overcurrent trip coil and thermal trip element are integrated in series with the main circuit, while the undervoltage trip coil is wired in parallel with the power supply. This intricate configuration ensures reliable and efficient circuit protection.
