Overview
The DaDa DAM3-1600 Molded Case Circuit Breaker is a robust solution with a rated current capacity that can reach up to an impressive 1600A. These advanced electrical devices are meticulously engineered to safeguard power distribution circuits with an alternating current of 50-60Hz and a rated operating current up to 1000A. Not only do they offer superior protection for power distribution, but they are also adept at handling electric motors, providing infrequent starting capabilities, comprehensive overload protection, and shielding against short circuits and undervoltage conditions.
Setting a new standard in circuit protection, the DAM3 series outperforms the DAM1 series with its compact design and enhanced breaking capacity. This next-generation series not only saves space but also significantly improves energy efficiency, making it a top choice for modern electrical applications.

Introduction
The DAM3-1600 Molded Case Circuit Breaker is designed to automatically cut off the current when it exceeds the predetermined release setting, ensuring optimal safety. The term 'molded case' refers to the high-grade plastic insulator that frames the device, providing excellent insulation for the conductor and the metal grounding component, thereby enhancing overall reliability and performance.
Working Principle
The main contact of the DAM3-1600 Molded Case Circuit Breaker is operated either manually or electrically. Upon closing of the main contact, the free release mechanism securely locks it into position. The device integrates an overcurrent trip coil and a thermal trip element, both connected in series with the main circuit, as well as an undervoltage trip coil that is connected in parallel with the power supply, ensuring comprehensive protection and operational efficiency.
