Thermal-Magnetic Circuit Breakers:

Thermal protection function: (Designed for safeguarding against overload conditions)
At the heart of our thermal protection is the precision-crafted bimetallic component. This ingenious design features two metals with distinct thermal expansion coefficients. As the bimetal heats, it gracefully bends toward the metal with lesser expansion. This movement releases a notch, triggering the breaker mechanism to disable the circuit, thus providing vital overload protection. The bending speed of the bimetal is directly proportional to the current size, as increased current elevates the heat generated. Consequently, the bimetal ensures effective overcurrent protection when load currents exceed the rated threshold.
Magnetic protection function (Engineered for short circuit protection) Another critical function of the breaker is to safeguard the connected circuit from the dangers of short circuits, which may stem from the contact of phases or from phase-to-ground contact. Given that a significant surge of current will traverse the cables during a short circuit, the system's energy must be interrupted promptly to prevent thermal damage. The breaker must act instantaneously to protect the load it serves. This is achieved through a sophisticated mechanical opening mechanism, activated by the magnetization induced by the magnetic field created by the short circuit current.
