Introduction
The DAM3-250 molded case circuit breaker is designed to automatically interrupt the current flow when it exceeds a predefined release setting. The term 'molded case' refers to the high-strength plastic insulator that forms the device's frame, ensuring excellent insulation of the conductor and metal grounding components.
Working principle
The operation of the main contact in the DAM3-250 molded case circuit breaker can be achieved through manual manipulation or electric closing. Once the main contact is closed, the free release mechanism securely locks it in the closed position. The overcurrent trip coil and thermal trip element are meticulously connected in series with the main circuit, while the undervoltage trip coil is strategically connected in parallel with the power supply for optimal performance.
