The DAM3-1600 MCCB is engineered to automatically disconnect the current flow when it exceeds the set release threshold. The term 'molded case' refers to the durable plastic insulator forming the device's frame, which ensures effective insulation of the conductor and the metal grounding component.
Working Principle
Operating the DAM3-1600 MCCB involves either manual or electric closing of the main contact. Once closed, the free release mechanism securely locks the main contact in place. The device integrates an overcurrent trip coil and a thermal trip element in series with the main circuit, while an undervoltage trip coil is connected in parallel with the power supply, ensuring comprehensive protection and operational reliability.
