The DAM1 series circuit breakers from Shanghai DaDa Electric Co., Ltd. are designed to conduct current in normal mode and switch it off in case of short circuits, overload, inadmissible bucking, operational actuation, and tripping of electric circuit parts. They are suitable for use in electric units with an operative voltage limit of 400V and a rated current ranging from 12.5 to 1600A. These circuit breakers comply with the requirements of EN 60947-1 and EN 60947-2.
Thermal Protection Function: The bimetal in the circuit breaker provides thermal protection by bending towards the metal with less extension when heated, releasing a notch to disable the breaker. The bending speed of the bimetal is directly proportional to the current passing through the breaker, providing overcurrent protection at load currents higher than the rated current.
Magnetic Protection Function: The breaker also protects against short circuits by instantly opening to break the system energy in case of a short circuit. The mechanical opening mechanism operates with magnetization caused by the magnetic area formed by the short circuit current.
