Thermal-Magnetic Circuit Breakers:

Thermal Protection Function: (Safeguarding against overload conditions)
Our sophisticated thermal protection technology is underpinned by a bimetallic strip, ingeniously crafted from two metals with distinct thermal expansion rates. Upon heating, this bimetal bends towards the metal with lesser expansion, thereby releasing a notch that triggers the breaker mechanism to disengage. The swift bending is directly proportional to the current's magnitude, as an increased current intensifies the heat, ensuring that the bimetal effectively handles overcurrent situations, safeguarding the system at load currents surpassing the rated levels. This is integral to the Magnetic Protection Function. (Safeguarding against short circuit conditions) Another pivotal function of the breaker is to shield the connected circuit from any short circuits. Such malfunctions could arise when phases inadvertently come into contact with each other or the ground, leading to an expedited surge of current through the cables. In such scenarios, system energy needs to be curtailed swiftly to prevent thermal damage. The breaker must act instantaneously, opening the circuit to safeguard the connected load. The heart of this rapid response mechanism is a sophisticated mechanical opening device that is activated by the magnetic force generated by the short circuit current's magnetic field.
