Introduction

The exceptional DAM1 series circuit breakers are expertly crafted for conducting current in normal mode and ensuring reliable switching off during short circuits, overload conditions, and inadmissible bucking. They are also designed to facilitate operational actuation and tripping of electric circuit parts. Engineered for electric units with an operative voltage capped at 400V, these breakers can handle a rated current range from 12.5 to 1600A, making them versatile and robust for various applications.

Thermal-Magnetic Circuit Breakers:

Advanced Thermal Protection Function:(For safeguarding against overload conditions)
The bimetal component, integral to thermal protection, is crafted from two metals with different thermal expansion coefficients. As the bimetal heats up, it bends towards the metal with lesser expansion. This bending action releases a notch that facilitates the mechanism to disable the breaker. The bimetal's bending speed is proportional to the current size passing through the breaker, ensuring effective overcurrent protection by responding to load currents that exceed the rated current through this thermal mechanism.
Magnetic Protection Function(For safeguarding under short circuit conditions) Another critical function of the breaker is toshield the connected circuit against shortcircuits. Short circuits can arise fromphase-to-phase contact orphase-to-ground contact. Given the extensivecurrent flow through the cables during a short circuit, the system's energymust be interrupted promptly dueto the thermal protection function. The breaker mustexecute instant opening to safeguard theconnected load. This function isaccomplished by a mechanical openingmechanism thatactivates throughmagnetization induced by the magnetic field created by the short circuit current.
