Introduction
The DAM3-250 molded case circuit breaker is an automatic device that disrupts the power current once it surpasses the preset release threshold. The term 'molded case' is derived from the robust plastic insulator that forms the device's framework, providing essential insulation for conductors and safeguarding metal grounding components.
Working principle
The DAM3-250's primary contact operation is facilitated either manually or through electric actuation. Once the primary contact is closed, the free release mechanism secures it firmly in the closed position. This setup involves an overcurrent trip coil and a thermal trip element integrated in series with the main circuit, while the undervoltage trip coil is strategically connected in parallel with the power supply, ensuring optimized performance.
