The DAM1 series circuit breakers are expertly crafted to ensure safe and efficient power management. Designed for operational reliability, these breakers effectively trip and disconnect parts of electric circuits, making them ideal for installations with an operative voltage of up to 400V and a rated current range from 12.5 to 1600A.

Thermal-Magnetic Circuit Breakers:

Thermal Protection Function: (Ensuring defense during overload conditions)
The innovative bimetal design, a fusion of two metals with distinct extension coefficients, provides unmatched thermal protection. When subjected to heat, the bimetal bends towards the metal with a lower extension rate. This bending releases a catch that activates the breaker mechanism to interrupt the circuit. The bending speed of the bimetal is directly proportional to the current magnitude, as increased current leads to heightened heat. Thus, the bimetal ensures overcurrent protection at load currents exceeding the rated capacity, fortifying your electrical system.
Magnetic Protection Function: (Ensuring defense during short circuit conditions) The breaker also plays a crucial role in safeguarding the connected circuit against the peril of short circuits. These can occur due to unexpected contact between phases or between a phase and the ground. A short circuit results in an immense surge of current through the cables, necessitating a rapid disconnection of system energy to prevent damage. The circuit breaker must quickly sever the connection, overriding the thermal protection time frame. This swift action protects the load it is associated with. The mechanical opening mechanism, which is a pivotal part of this function, is activated by the magnetic force generated by the short circuit current's magnetic field, ensuring rapid response and protection.
