The revolutionary DAM1 series circuit breakers are meticulously engineered to conduct current seamlessly under normal conditions and expertly shut it off in the event of short circuits, overload, or any unacceptable bucking. These circuit breakers are ideal for operational initiation and disconnection of electrical circuit segments. Designed for excellence, they are tailored for electrical installations where the working voltage is confined to a maximum of 400V, covering a wide range of rated currents from a modest 12.5A to a robust 1600A.

Thermal-Magnetic Circuit Breakers:

Thermal protection function: (Providing superior safeguards against overload conditions)
The ingenious bimetal within the breaker offers thermal protection through an innovative fusion of two metals with distinct expansion coefficients when heated. As the bimetal warms, it elegantly bends toward the metal with lesser expansion, thereby triggering a notch that facilitates the tripping of the breaker mechanism, ultimately disabling the circuit breaker. The bending velocity of the bimetal is directly proportional to the current magnitude coursing through the breaker, as a rise in current results in increased heat. This sophisticated mechanism ensures that the breaker effectively delivers overcurrent protection whenever the load current surpasses the rated threshold, thanks to the bimetal's precise intervention.
Magnetic protection function (Expertly protecting against short circuit scenarios) The breaker is adeptly designed to safeguard the connected circuit from short circuits, which may occur due to inter-phasal contacts or phase-to-ground contact. Given the potential for excessive current to surge through the cables during a short circuit, it is imperative for the system energy to be cut off promptly to prevent thermal damage. The breaker must execute an immediate opening action to shield the load to which it is connected. This critical safety function is managed by a mechanical opening mechanism that activates through the magnetization induced by the magnetic field generated by the short circuit current, ensuring the utmost protection.
